Ottawa Chapter - Building toward the Future

When someone says, 'Ottawa', what do you think of?

Nope! Wrong! You should be thinking of the Ottawa Chapter of Construction Specifications Canada and the rebuilding that has been going on. We are fortunate to be located in Canada's National Capital Region, an area that has experienced so much growth in recent years. Not to be outdone, the Chapter itself has experienced significant growth in numerous areas.

Our formal Professional Development courses start in October. We have seen steadily increasing interest for our Principles of Construction Documentation (PCD) course held in the fall. Space is limited so register early.

The annual Connections Café live/silent auction and fundraiser in February is another highlight of the year. We've grown to well over 120 participants and it keeps getting bigger and better every year. The gala event brings together members of the design and building community in Ottawa and benefits from exposure in the local Ottawa Construction News.

Recent milestones for the Chapter have included our growth in membership to the 100 mark. Our web site has become the focal point for information dissemination in the Chapter and is in the midst of a major upgrade. Our dedicated volunteer editors have renewed and reinvented the Specifier publication. And we are rebuilding the local construction industry through our financial support of the Algonquin College and Cité collégiale Architectural and Interior Design programs.

Please join us at one of our numerous, technical or social events and see us "Building for the Future!". We'll give you a true Ottawa Chapter welcome.
